YOGA CLASSES

REGULAR YOGA CLASSES will also be part of Sunde Kommun’s program. They are organized by Yoga Sundre and it’s yoga from the community for the community.

Together breathing & perceiving, learning & growing.

In summer 2025 in the Off-retreat times, Yoga Classes will also be offered by Theresa and Rohan as well as by traveling yoga teachers, to whom we want to give the possibility for teaching some kind of “pop-up” classes for a specific timeframe.

We invite yoga teachers from all over the world to come stay with us at our community art & culture farm and share a few lessons of their way of teaching in return for accommodation & food.

FireDance is like a movement meditation. Because for moving around safely with the flames, you have to be present in the moment (and aware of your breathing rhythm) for not getting burned while playing with fire. FireDance is also incorporating various inspirations drawn from yoga poses as well as fusing elements from modern classical dance genres with ancient combat techniques and dance forms from all across Asia, Africa, Native America & Zealandia.

FireMeditation is a tool for calming down your mind, hightening your senses, shifting your focus, training to think positively, strengthening your willpower, and for thinking forward and for letting go of old baggage. The fire lets you feel its heat, its joy of life, and while watching the flame(s), it just invites you to be fully present in this moment and only concentrate on your breathing while locking your gaze on its dance.
In comparison to the FireDance Sessions, FireMeditation focusses more on a ritualistic aspect and is inspired by the Trataka-Meditation-Technique and the Havan Ritual & the (Ganga) Aarti – Fire Ceremony.

Sessions / Classes / Workshops can be designed according to participants wishes & needs ( and possibly pre-excisting skills in regards to FireDance & FireJuggling ).

We offer ARTIST RESIDENCIES!

Travelling Artists & Digital Nomads welcome!
For the warmest months on Gotland from Mai – September we are looking for helping hands for transferring different kinds of art projects in and around our farm into action. There are many options and dreams&ideas but we are also open for new suggestions. However, the idea is to temporarily become part of this community: There will be free food and accommodation in exchange for art in various forms or any other kind of creative work produced in and for Sundre Kommun during the lenth of stay.
